Administration - Setup
This document describes how to securely upload card data from your iOS device to your secure Microsoft Azure database.
Enable Remote Upload (one-time)
Before you start, Remote Upload is a feature that must be turned on for each client and database.
Please request “remote upload” from your Sales Representative. This is a security feature.
Create a 'remote-upload' Secure User (one-time)
Log into your web-app. In the Administration menu on the LHS, click on Users.
Check if your database has a User named ‘remote-upload’. If not, create a User with User name ‘remote-upload’ and assign the Registration Role in the Roles tab.
Remember the password for later.

1. Generate a Secure Link
Find the user you wish to enable remote uploading in Profile Search. View their profile.
Scroll to the bottom of the User’s Profile and locate the Remote Upload – App section. (This will be shown if the Contact Harald team has enabled it in the very first Administration step.)
Click on the purple ‘Generate a Link’ button. This will request the password used to setup the remote-upload user. Make sure you type it in exactly, it is case sensitive.
Click the blue copy button to copy the link to the clipboard.

2. Send a Secure Link
Send the secure link (copied to the clipboard) to the User. Either email this or send it via SMS. The link will look something like this:
contactharald://remoteupload?token=RvaTFwECbY_F3qmpBmj6KojFDzeT-vO15MuNX1pnJPvy-9fzPftlsBREWUXvZZPtd5SISZ6u1LCNdd5XOZ1p3jccU0Sz7c2xewUuY54S9Bc
Note: this link can be used again, however you must store it as the web-app will clear the link (for security reasons). If it has been cleared, all you have to do is generate it again using the remote-upload password.
Note: Currently the same link can also be used by other Users on your system. If the remote-upload password changes, the link will need to be generated again.
User - Card Upload
1. Download the App
Go to the app store on your iPhone. Ask the Card Holder to download CH Remote Upload, by Contact Harald. Do not open the app yet. If you open it an ‘Incorrect Start’ will appear, see step 2 below.

2. Click on the Secure Link
Click on the link sent via SMS or email from your Administrator.
Click on the link sent via SMS or email from your Administrator.
If the link was emailed, copy it exactly out of email and paste into the browser Safari.

3. Securely upload
The link (if generated correctly) will securely log you in and open the app. It is ready to upload card data.

Press the button on the card. Data will be transmitted via Bluetooth to the phone, then uploaded to the secure database via the Internet.

Once uploaded, close the app. All done!
