Administration - Setup
This document describes how to securely upload card data from your Android device to your secure Microsoft Azure database.
Enable Remote Upload (one-time)
Before you start, Remote Upload is a feature that must be turned on for each client and database.
Please request “remote upload” from your Sales Representative. This is a security feature.
Create a 'remote-upload' Secure User (one-time)
Log into your web-app. In the Administration menu on the LHS, click on Users.
Check if your database has a User named ‘remote-upload’. If not, create a User with User name ‘remote-upload’ and assign the Registration Role in the Roles tab.
Note: remember the password for later.

1. Generate a Secure Link
Find the user you wish to enable remote uploading in Profile Search. View their profile.
Scroll to the bottom of the User’s Profile and locate the Remote Upload – App section. (This will be shown if the Contact Harald team has enabled it in the very first Administration step.)
Click on the purple ‘Generate a Link’ button. This will request the password used to setup the remote-upload user. Make sure you type it in exactly, it is case sensitive.
Click the blue copy button to copy the link to the clipboard.

2. Send a Secure Link
Email the secure link (copied to the clipboard) to the User. The link will look something like this:
contactharald://remoteupload?token=RvaTFwECbY_F3qmpBmj6KojFDzeT-vO15MuNX1pnJPvy-9fzPftlsBREWUXvZZPtd5SISZ6u1LCNdd5XOZ1p3jccU0Sz7c2xewUuY54S9Bc
Note: save the link somewhere safe to forward it on again in the future.
Note: Currently the same link can also be used by other Users on your system. If the remote-upload password changes, the link will need to be generated again.
